still water   Still Water

Published in Great Britain by Harper Collins in 2000.

Set in a lobster fishing community on an island off the coast of Maine this story is about Ella, a local skipper accused of murdering a brutal rival. Small town politics and the appearance of valuable blue fin tuna in the gulf, along with a pod of Orcas, their natural predators, polarise opinions and blur motives.

A drama and a mystery with passages of violence and tension where nothing is what it seems. Not even murder.

Reviews:

"Still water grapples subtly with the idea that, even with murder, things are rarely what they seem." ….. Daily Mail
