| Lost Summer
Published in Great Britain by Harper Collins in 2002.
Investigative journalist Adam Turner has spent his career trying to
help families whose children have gone missing. He is driven in part by the
memory of a gypsy girl who vanished in the area where he lived as he was
growing up. A failing marriage leads to sessions with a psychologist who
encourages him to talk about long buried events. When Adam is asked to look
into the apparently accidental death of three students in a car crash in
the north of England he has to confront his feelings about a girl he once
loved and the friend who betrayed him. The scene is set to play out the tensions
and unfinished business of the past.
Part mystery, part psychological thriller.
